On The Waterfront Festival 2026: Everything You Need to Know Before Visiting Liverpool
Liverpool’s waterfront is preparing for one of the biggest weekends of the summer as On The Waterfront Festival returns to the iconic Pier Head from 18–21 June 2026.
Set against the backdrop of the Royal Liver Building, the River Mersey and Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront skyline, the festival brings together major live music performances, a vibrant atmosphere and one of the most unique city-centre festival settings in the UK.
Whether you're travelling to Liverpool for a day, a weekend, or a longer city break, here’s everything you need to know before attending On The Waterfront Festival 2026.

A Unique Festival in the Heart of Liverpool

Unlike traditional music festivals located in remote countryside venues, On The Waterfront takes place right in Liverpool city centre. This means visitors can enjoy live music while being surrounded by restaurants, bars, museums, shopping districts and some of the city's most famous attractions.
The Pier Head location places festival-goers within walking distance of the Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool ONE, Castle Street and the historic waterfront, making it easy to turn a concert visit into a full Liverpool experience.
